Schuler Books is getting geared up for a second year of undead mayhem with its 2nd Annual Zombie Night, paying homage to the recently reliving and rotting. We’re building on the success of last year and thinking up new ways to get you in the Halloween spirit, including Feed the Hunger, a food drive to benefit the Greater Lansing Food Bank. Bring at least one canned or boxed food item and receive a bag of Zombie party favors! Once again our centerpiece will be the unveiling of a new round of Zombie Pin-up Photos by up-and-coming Lansing photographer Jena McShane. Featuring local models in a bizarre mix of horror and beauty, you’ll be able to reserve your copy of the new pin-up calendar, Beauty and Brains 2011. Bring four non-perishable food items for the Food Bank and receive a dollar off your calendar!

The evening’s festivities will culminate in two Zombie-tastic costume contests -- a standard contest with prizes for the top 6 costumer wearers, and our first-ever Zombie Baby Costume Contest! The Zombie Baby contest is open to parents and their babies (2 years of age and under), with the best costume winning the Grand Prize: an Animatronic Zombie Baby

There will also be a Zombie Dance Party in the Chapbook café featuring DJ Sammy -- resident DJ at Spiral Dance Bar -- with drink specials and graveyard goodies; a Zombie Gaming Corner; a Zombie film screening; a professional Zombie photographer to document the goings-on, and more!
